Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Keywords Studios is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Part-time Weekend Game Testers to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team in Downtown San Antonio. This is an excellent opportunity for students or anyone looking to gain experience in the gaming industry, working flexible hours on Saturdays and Sundays. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and playability of exciting new game titles before they reach the market. No prior experience is required; we will provide all the necessary training!
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and identify bugs, glitches, and other issues within pre-release game titles.
- Document detailed, accurate, and concise bug reports in our tracking system.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure previously identified issues are resolved.
- Provide constructive feedback on game design, usability, and overall player experience.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and QA leads to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols regarding unreleased game content.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games across various genres and platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle inconsistencies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for clear bug reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with different software applications.
- Must be available to work on weekends (Saturdays and/or Sundays).
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
- Familiarity with different gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Prior experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) is a plus, but not required.
