Job Description
Are you seeking an entry-level opportunity to kickstart your career in the healthcare sector? CVS Health is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to join our dedicated team in Savannah, GA. This position is ideal for individuals with a high school diploma who are ready to learn, provide excellent customer service, and contribute to a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them with their needs, including locating products and directing them to the pharmacy counter.
- Answer incoming phone calls, redirecting calls as appropriate, and taking accurate messages.
- Assist in maintaining inventory, including receiving, unpacking, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Process prescription orders under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or certified pharmacy technician.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Handle cash register transactions and manage patient co-pays.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and patient privacy.
- Support pharmacy technicians and pharmacists with administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to start ASAP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience in any retail or service setting.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with pharmacy operations or a strong interest in the healthcare field.
