Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized High School Admin Aide to join our team at a local high school within Pasco County. This vital role supports the administrative functions of the school, ensuring efficient daily operations and providing essential assistance to staff, students, and parents. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for contributing to a positive educational environment. This is an on-site position focused on direct support within the school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain student records, attendance, and other confidential documents with accuracy and discretion.
  • Greet visitors, answer phones, and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel, providing friendly and helpful service.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and coordinating school events.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other materials as directed by school administration.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Support faculty and staff with clerical tasks, including photocopying, filing, and data entry.
  • Assist with student registration and enrollment processes.
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the school office.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative or clerical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting or K-12 school office.
  • Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., FOCUS, Skyward).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
