Job Description
Are you a dedicated football enthusiast with a keen eye for player performance? Electronic Arts is seeking an EA Sports Madden Scout with a focus on Performance Evaluation to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the authenticity and accuracy of player ratings within the Madden NFL franchise. Your deep understanding of American football, combined with exceptional analytical skills, will help us translate real-world athletic prowess into an engaging and realistic gaming experience. You will meticulously analyze player statistics, game footage, and emerging talent to inform Madden ratings, contributing directly to the core gameplay experience that millions of fans love.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of NFL and top collegiate football player performances, focusing on physical attributes, skill sets, and in-game impact.
- Evaluate player statistics, advanced metrics, and scouting reports to identify key performance indicators relevant to Madden NFL ratings.
- Translate complex real-world player data into actionable insights for game development, specifically influencing player attributes, tendencies, and archetypes.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, producers, and data scientists to ensure accuracy and realism in player representation within the Madden NFL game.
- Monitor real-time player updates, injuries, and performance shifts throughout the NFL season to recommend timely adjustments to player ratings.
- Prepare comprehensive scouting reports and presentations detailing player evaluations and rating recommendations.
- Actively participate in team meetings to discuss player performance, game balance, and feature improvements related to player ratings.
Required Skills
- Deep and comprehensive knowledge of American football (NFL and collegiate level) rules, strategies, and player evaluation metrics.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and video footage to assess player performance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) or similar data analysis and presentation tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
