Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and dynamic Executive Office Manager to join our corporate team in Akron. This unique role combines traditional office management responsibilities with leadership duties, supporting executive-level functions and ensuring seamless operations across key departments. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at managing complex schedules, confidential information, and special projects, while also guiding junior administrative staff and optimizing office workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and strategic support to executive leadership, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
  • Oversee daily office operations, ensuring an efficient, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Manage office budgets, procure supplies, and negotiate with vendors to optimize costs and service quality.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of administrative assistants, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Coordinate and organize high-level meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
  • Implement and refine office policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage special projects as assigned by executives, often involving cross-departmental coordination.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in office management or executive administrative support, preferably in a large corporate environment.
  • Proven leadership experience, including direct supervision or mentoring of administrative staff.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and proactive approach to anticipating needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience with project management tools and corporate resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Certification in Office Management or Administrative Professional (e.g., CAP).
