Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily food preparation tasks including washing, chopping, slicing, and mixing ingredients according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food items are prepared fresh and maintained at appropriate temperatures.
- Stock and organize food prep areas, ensuring efficient workflow and proper inventory rotation.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment in compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, verifying product quality and quantity.
- Support other kitchen and deli staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently work early morning shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation principles (or willingness to learn).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen, food service, or grocery retail environment.
- Current Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain one.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
