Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily food preparation tasks including washing, chopping, slicing, and mixing ingredients according to recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food items are prepared fresh and maintained at appropriate temperatures.
  • Stock and organize food prep areas, ensuring efficient workflow and proper inventory rotation.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment in compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, verifying product quality and quantity.
  • Support other kitchen and deli staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality.

Required Skills

  • Ability to consistently work early morning shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation principles (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, food service, or grocery retail environment.
  • Current Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain one.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
