Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (e.g., vans, box trucks, tractor-trailers) for package delivery and pickup routes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload packages efficiently and carefully, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records using handheld scanners and electronic devices.
- Provide exceptional customer service, interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Manage time effectively to complete routes on schedule and meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route status, delays, and issues.
- Keep vehicles clean and organized, representing the company's brand positively.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation.
Required Skills
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B, depending on vehicle type.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 75 lbs, and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with assistance.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and DOT regulations.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency with handheld electronic devices for scanning and route management.
- Ability to work independently and manage a delivery route efficiently.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-stop delivery routes.
- Familiarity with local geography and traffic patterns in the Irving/Dallas-Fort Worth area.
- Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Forklift certification (for certain roles).
