Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and community-focused School Lunchroom Monitor to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. This vital role involves overseeing the lunchroom environment, ensuring student safety, promoting positive behavior, and assisting with the smooth operation of lunch periods. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and contributing to a supportive school community. This position offers an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the daily lives of students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise students in the lunchroom and on school grounds during lunch periods, ensuring their safety and adherence to school rules.
  • Monitor student behavior, encouraging positive interactions and resolving minor conflicts effectively and respectfully.
  • Assist students with opening food containers, finding seating, and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or concerns regarding student behavior or safety to appropriate school personnel.
  • Promote a calm, orderly, and positive atmosphere within the lunchroom.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized lunchroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty.
