Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Local Delivery Drivers to join our team in Rialto, California. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of packages to residential and commercial customers within a designated route. This is a full-time position offering competitive hourly rates and the benefit of being home daily. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up packages within an assigned route.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies and procedures.
- Verify accurate package counts and maintain detailed delivery logs.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during all interactions.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
- Manage delivery schedule efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route status or issues.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 75 lbs (with or without assistance).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with GPS devices or mapping applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery driving or a related field.
- Familiarity with the Rialto and surrounding Southern California areas.
- Experience using handheld scanning devices.
