Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Guest Service Porter to join our dynamic team. This is an immediate opening for an individual who is passionate about hospitality and committed to providing outstanding support to our guests. As a Guest Service Porter, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, playing a crucial role in their overall experience. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment. We offer a performance bonus structure, recognizing your hard work and dedication to guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling and transportation to their rooms.
  • Provide directions and information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, special requests, and any issues they may encounter, ensuring a prompt and satisfactory resolution.
  • Support the front desk team with check-ins and check-outs as needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the hotel lobby, entrance, and public areas.
  • Arrange for taxis, car rentals, and other transportation services for guests.
  • Deliver messages, packages, and amenities to guest rooms.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies and safety procedures.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance guest service skills.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry luggage and other items.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • A friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role.
  • Knowledge of local area attractions and amenities.
  • Full UK driving license (desirable for valet services if applicable).
  • First Aid certification.
