Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and execution of complex civil engineering projects, including transportation, water resources, urban development, and site infrastructure.
- Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and reports in accordance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Conduct quality control reviews of designs and deliverables, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Prepare and present technical proposals, project updates, and progress reports.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to client development and revenue growth.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all projects.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations governing civil engineering projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience with international projects or diverse regulatory environments.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and resilient infrastructure.
