Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Google Map Quality Analyst. This is a crucial part-time, remote role focused on enhancing the accuracy and reliability of Google Maps data. You will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and correcting geographical information, points of interest, and navigational data, ensuring a high-quality user experience. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate map data, identifying discrepancies and inaccuracies related to roads, addresses, businesses, and natural features.
- Verify information against various sources, including satellite imagery, Street View, and other internal tools.
- Categorize and tag geographical features and points of interest according to established guidelines.
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate feedback on data quality issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of mapping processes and tools.
- Adhere to strict quality and productivity targets within a part-time schedule.
Required Skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using web-based applications and digital mapping tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with Google Workspace applications.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in data entry, quality assurance, or geographical information systems (GIS).
- Familiarity with Google Maps and its various features.
- Geographical knowledge of the United States, particularly the Mid-Atlantic region.
