Job Description
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Charter Coach Drivers for national tours across the United States. This role offers the unique opportunity to travel the country, providing safe and reliable transportation for groups on various chartered trips. As a Charter Coach Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of our passengers, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies, and maintaining a high level of professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a motor coach safely and efficiently over long distances, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage, ensuring proper handling and security.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
- Manage travel itineraries, schedules, and route planning to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
- Maintain accurate logs of duty status, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Handle minor mechanical issues and emergency situations with composure and efficiency.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of the coach interior and exterior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, passengers, and tour organizers.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen.
- Proven experience driving heavy vehicles for extended periods.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move luggage up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in national tour bus driving or long-haul charter services.
- Familiarity with GPS systems and route optimization software.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
