Job Description
Are you a high school student looking for your first job experience? Target in Kailua-Kona is offering an exciting opportunity for a High School Cashier, with 100% comprehensive training provided on all register systems and customer service procedures. No prior experience is required – we’ll teach you everything you need to know to succeed! Join our friendly team and gain valuable skills in a supportive retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately and efficiently after training.
- Process various payment methods including cash, credit cards, and digital payments.
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist guests with inquiries, locate products, and resolve minor issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Bag merchandise and assist guests with their purchases.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including loss prevention.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in high school or equivalent educational program.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly and positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
