Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Rapid Response Registered Nurse (RN) to join our urgent care team in Fayetteville. This critical role involves providing immediate, high-level nursing care to patients presenting with urgent, non-life-threatening conditions, often requiring quick assessment, intervention, and stabilization. The Rapid Response RN will be pivotal in ensuring efficient patient flow, delivering exceptional clinical care, and maintaining a safe, effective environment within our fast-paced urgent care setting. This is an immediate hire position for a dedicated professional ready to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct rapid and comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with urgent medical needs.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, including medication administration, wound care, and minor procedures.
  • Respond effectively to emergent situations, stabilizing patients and coordinating transfers when necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department, urgent care, or critical care setting.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • PALS certification.
  • Experience with Epic EHR system.
  • Previous experience as a Rapid Response Nurse or charge nurse.
