Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Laundry Attendant to join our busy team at Hilton Aberdeen TECA. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene expected in our industrial laundry facility, supporting our hotel operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the routine washing, drying, pressing, and folding of linens and uniforms, ensuring a consistent supply of clean items for guests and staff. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort all linen and uniform items according to fabric type, color, and degree of soil before washing.
- Operate industrial washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload laundry machines, ensuring proper chemical usage and cycle selection.
- Inspect linens for stains or damage, pre-treating as necessary.
- Fold, iron, and stack clean laundry items neatly according to hotel standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including equipment and work surfaces.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and guidelines.
- Assist with inventory counts of linen and supplies as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy laundry loads.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Preferred Qualifications
