Job Description
We are seeking a discerning and observant individual to join our team as a Cocktail Lounge Evaluator. In this unique part-time role, you will be responsible for discreetly visiting various cocktail lounges within the Laredo area to assess their overall quality, social environment, and service standards. Your keen eye for detail and ability to provide objective feedback will be crucial in helping us understand market trends, identify areas for improvement, and ensure our properties (or even competitor analysis) maintain a leading edge in the hospitality industry. This role offers flexibility and an opportunity to experience Laredo’s vibrant social scene while contributing valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Discreetly visit assigned cocktail lounges in the Laredo, TX area during peak and off-peak hours.
- Objectively evaluate the quality of beverages, including cocktail preparation, presentation, and ingredient freshness.
- Assess the overall social environment, ambiance, decor, and cleanliness of the lounge.
- Observe and report on staff interaction, attentiveness, efficiency, and adherence to service protocols.
- Provide detailed written feedback on the customer experience, noting strengths and areas for potential improvement.
- Evaluate tipping practices from the customer perspective and report on fairness and transparency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all assignments and findings.
- Submit comprehensive and timely evaluation reports through our online system.
Required Skills
- Exceptional observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written communication skills for clear and concise report generation.
- Ability to remain discreet and anonymous during evaluations.
- Objectivity and ability to provide unbiased feedback.
- Basic computer proficiency for online report submission.
- Reliable transportation to visit various locations in Laredo.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, quality assurance, or mystery shopping.
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation, spirits, and current beverage trends.
- Familiarity with the local Laredo social and nightlife scene.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus, given the local demographics.
