Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Cybersecurity Analyst with a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence to join our remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring professional to kickstart their career in cybersecurity, gaining hands-on experience in threat detection, incident response, and security operations, with a specific focus on leveraging AI technologies. You will work closely with senior analysts and engineers, contributing to the protection of critical assets and infrastructure for our diverse client base across the USA.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring security systems and tools for suspicious activities and alerts.
- Support the incident response process, including initial triage, investigation, and documentation of security incidents.
- Contribute to the analysis of security logs and data, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Learn and apply AI/Machine Learning concepts to enhance threat detection, anomaly identification, and automate security tasks.
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts.
- Prepare clear and concise reports on security incidents and findings.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and AI advancements in the security landscape.
- Provide basic technical support for security-related issues.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- A foundational understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or Google Cybersecurity Certificate.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Azure Sentinel).
- Basic knowledge of cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Prior internship or project experience in cybersecurity or AI.
