Key Responsibilities
- Operate electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently to move freight within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper handling and placement of packages and pallets.
- Verify accurate counts of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Organize and stack freight according to warehouse guidelines and safety protocols.
- Inspect equipment daily and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and timely operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting (even if not with a pallet jack).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
