Job Description

Are you looking for an easy-to-learn role with comprehensive training provided? Tesco on Mill Road, Cambridge, is seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our team as a Cashier / Till Operator. Full training on our till systems and customer service best practices will be provided from day one, making this an ideal entry-level position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the till system accurately to process customer purchases, including scanning items, handling cash and card payments, and issuing receipts.
  • Provide excellent customer service, greeting shoppers with a smile and assisting with any queries they may have.
  • Maintain a clean and organised till area.
  • Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist customers with self-checkout terminals as needed.
  • Ensure the security of cash and company assets at the till.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
