Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Bed Assembly Aide to join our team in Saint-Roch, Quebec City. This is an immediate start, direct pay position perfect for individuals looking for stable full-time employment with a leading Canadian retailer. As a Bed Assembly Aide, you will be crucial in ensuring that our customers receive their furniture assembled to the highest standards. This role involves the accurate and efficient assembly of various bed frames and related furniture components, working collaboratively with our team to meet daily operational goals. Training will be provided for candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assemble various types of bed frames, headboards, and related furniture components according to manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
- Verify product components against packing lists to ensure all necessary parts are present before assembly.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently to complete assembly tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely completion of assembly tasks and meet production targets.
- Perform quality checks on assembled products to ensure structural integrity and cosmetic standards.
- Assist with loading and unloading furniture items as needed.
- Report any damaged or missing parts, or assembly issues, to the supervisor promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams.
- Basic proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills in English or French.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in furniture assembly, manufacturing, or a similar physically demanding role.
- Experience working in a warehouse or retail environment.
- Forklift certification (an asset, but not required).
