Job Description
We are seeking motivated and physically fit Vegetable Harvesters to join our team on a daily hire basis. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, performing essential tasks related to the harvesting of a variety of vegetables. If you enjoy working with your hands, being part of a productive team, and contributing to the fresh food supply chain, we encourage you to apply. This is an on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully harvest various vegetables according to quality standards and production targets.
- Operate basic farm equipment and tools as required, under supervision.
- Pack harvested produce into containers, ensuring correct labeling and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in the field.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily harvesting goals.
- Report any issues with produce quality or equipment to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions (rain, sun, cold).
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality harvesting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural work or manual labor is a plus, but not essential.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions.
- Access to reliable transportation to our meeting point in Coventry for daily assignments.
