Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Jet Washer to join our heavy industrial cleaning team in Bradford, West Yorkshire. This role involves operating high-pressure jet washing equipment to clean large-scale industrial machinery, facilities, and surfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results in challenging environments. This is a high-pay opportunity for a skilled individual ready to tackle demanding cleaning tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain high-pressure jet washing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean a variety of industrial surfaces including machinery, production lines, floors, walls, and vehicle fleets.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Prepare work areas, including setting up safety barriers and signage.
- Mix and apply appropriate cleaning agents and chemicals according to safety guidelines.
- Inspect work areas for potential hazards and report any issues promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance and checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage waste disposal in compliance with environmental standards.
- Work collaboratively with the team to complete projects on schedule.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in operating commercial high-pressure jet washing equipment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in industrial settings (e.g., COSHH).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Relevant health and safety certifications (e.g., IPAF, PASMA, IOSH Working Safely).
- First Aid certification.
- Forklift or other heavy machinery operation experience.
