Job Description

We are actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Manchester, NH. This role offers flexible part-time and full-time shifts to accommodate various schedules, with an immediate vacancy for the right candidate. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy. Your contributions will directly impact our patients’ health and our commitment to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all legal and company guidelines.
  • Process prescription orders, including data entry, insurance billing, and managing patient profiles.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive pharmacy experience.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking medications, and conducting regular checks for expired products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Prepare and compound medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Handle cash register transactions and manage payment processing.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA
  • Current New Hampshire Pharmacy Technician registration
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (1+ years) working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
  • Experience with PBM and third-party insurance billing
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
