Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bank Teller to join our team for the night shift in Kansas City, MO. This role is crucial for our evening operations, providing essential financial services to our customers during extended hours. You will be responsible for handling transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the branch during your shift. A night shift differential pay will be provided for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and cashing checks.
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Identify customer needs and offer appropriate bank products and services.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer inquiries or issues.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to all banking regulations and security procedures.
- Assist with closing procedures for the branch, including vault balancing and end-of-day reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures.
- Educate customers on alternative banking channels such as online and mobile banking.
- Proactively identify and report any suspicious activity.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent cash handling and counting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night hours.
- Must be available to work consistent night shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bank teller or in a similar cash-handling role.
- Familiarity with banking software and systems.
- Associate's degree or some college coursework in finance or related field.
