Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our team in Palmdale, CA, to provide essential support for patients accessing public health and disability support services. In this crucial role, you will assist individuals in their homes with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide support with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Assist with medication reminders as per care plan and regulatory guidelines.
- Offer companionship and engage patients in stimulating activities.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Accurately document services provided and patient observations.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in California
- Valid CPR certification
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion for patients
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex care needs.
- Experience in a home healthcare setting.
- Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) are a plus.
