Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as an Inventory Tagger. This casual, part-time position offers flexible hours, perfect for those looking for supplementary income or a flexible work schedule. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring products are correctly identified, tagged, and organized within our retail environment. This role is essential for efficient store operations and excellent guest satisfaction. As an Inventory Tagger, you will work closely with the logistics and sales teams to keep our shelves stocked and our data precise, contributing directly to a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately tag and label incoming merchandise with price tags, security tags, and product information according to company guidelines.
- Assist in organizing and shelving new inventory efficiently and according to store planograms and visual merchandising standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, identify discrepancies, and assist in reconciliation processes.
- Identify and report damaged, defective, or mislabeled merchandise to appropriate team leads.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area within the stockroom and sales floor.
- Support store operations by moving merchandise, preparing items for display, and assisting with store resets as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety, security, and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lbs regularly, and perform repetitive movements.
- Basic math and literacy skills for counting and labeling.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new procedures and systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail, inventory management, or stockroom operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or handheld scanning devices.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment.
