Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Golang Engineer to join our globally distributed team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure that powers millions of businesses worldwide. As a Golang Engineer at Stripe, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable systems. You will work on challenging problems related to payment processing, fraud detection, financial reporting, and more. We value clean code, robust design, and a passion for building great products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Go code.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Go (Golang) programming language.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with various design patterns.
- Experience with concurrent programming.
- Solid understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices in software development.
- Contributions to open-source Go projects.
