Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Online UPS Associate to join our Digital Media Infrastructure team in Wesley Chapel, FL. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems that support our vital digital media and network operations. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the health and performance of all assigned UPS systems and related power infrastructure.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including battery checks, system diagnostics, and firmware updates.
- Respond to and resolve UPS alarms and incidents promptly, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Troubleshoot power-related problems affecting digital media equipment and network components.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of new UPS units and power distribution units (PDUs).
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system configurations, and incident resolutions.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies related to electrical work and data center operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network operations, data center technicians, and digital media specialists.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, including monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
- Fundamental understanding of electrical safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and circuit diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for logging data and accessing system interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or specific UPS vendor training).
- Experience working in a data center, telecommunications facility, or similar critical infrastructure environment.
- Knowledge of digital media infrastructure, servers, and networking equipment.
- Familiarity with ITIL best practices for service management.
