Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Evening Shift Packer to join our fulfillment center team in Jack London Square, Oakland. This is a full-time position with a consistent Monday to Thursday schedule, allowing for a great work-life balance with three-day weekends. As an Evening Shift Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for picking, packing, and scanning items, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and contributing to our high standards of operational excellence. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training for all new team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory and shipments.
- Prepare packages for shipment, including labeling and sorting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 49 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of English for safety and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment.
- Experience with inventory scanning systems.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
