Job Description
Join Electronic Arts as a Remote Game Tester and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and enjoyment of our upcoming games. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the USA. As a Game Tester, you will be responsible for meticulously testing pre-release versions of games, identifying bugs, glitches, and potential issues, and providing detailed feedback to our development teams. Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases with precision on various platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Identify, document, and track software defects, bugs, and issues using bug tracking tools.
- Provide clear, concise, and comprehensive bug reports including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure identified issues are resolved.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand game features and testing requirements.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
- Offer constructive feedback on gameplay, design, and user experience.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding unreleased game content and company information.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games and an understanding of various game genres.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle inconsistencies.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a quality assurance or game testing role (even personal projects).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Experience with multiple gaming platforms (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Mobile).
- Ability to follow complex instructions and workflows.
- A degree or certification in a related field (e.g., Game Design, Computer Science).
