Job Description
Are you an experienced and professional CDL driver with a passion for travel and customer service? Coach USA is seeking dedicated Charter Coach Drivers to join our team, specializing in national tours across the United States. This exciting role involves transporting passengers safely and comfortably on long-distance journeys, adhering to strict schedules, and ensuring an exceptional travel experience from start to finish. Key Responsibilities
- Operate motorcoaches safely and efficiently on national tours, adhering to all federal, state, and company regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain a detailed log of hours of service, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Navigate routes effectively using GPS and road maps, adapting to unforeseen road conditions or detours.
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of the coach before, during, and after tours.
- Manage passenger comfort, including temperature control and onboard amenities.
- Handle all required paperwork accurately and submit it in a timely manner.
- Represent Coach USA professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Minimum of 3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and move luggage up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to travel extensively for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving motorcoaches on long-haul or national tours.
- Familiarity with various regions and routes across the United States.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor on-road troubleshooting.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
