Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Data Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. This long-term work-from-home role is crucial for maintaining the integrity, security, and accessibility of our extensive data assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data management principles, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will play a key role in supporting various departments by ensuring data quality, assisting with data requests, and contributing to data governance initiatives in a 100% remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain data quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness across various databases.
  • Perform regular data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Develop and implement data management best practices and procedures.
  • Assist with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Support data governance frameworks, including data privacy and security compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide data-related support.
  • Generate reports and insights from data to support business decisions.
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Document data processes, definitions, and data flows.
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new data management tools and technologies.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data automation.
  • Previous experience in the telecommunications industry.
