Job Description
Are you passionate about live events and looking for flexible work that puts you right at the heart of the action? Showsec is seeking dedicated Event Security personnel to join our dynamic team for casual shifts at major concerts and events across Liverpool’s vibrant venues, particularly in the Baltic Triangle area. This role is perfect for individuals who are reliable, possess excellent communication skills, and are committed to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees. You will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring smooth entry, managing crowd flow, and providing a visible security presence. While an SIA Licence is required, full training and ongoing support are provided to help you excel in this exciting role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough bag and ticket checks at entry points.
- Maintain a professional and friendly presence while providing excellent customer service.
- Monitor designated areas for any security risks, suspicious activity, or breaches.
- Assist with crowd management and movement to ensure safe passage and flow within the venue.
- Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies, and customer inquiries, escalating as necessary.
- Liaise with event organisers, emergency services, and management to ensure coordinated security efforts.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, venue regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
- Participate in pre-event briefings and post-event debriefings.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic physical fitness to stand for long periods and patrol venues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, customer service, or events.
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Knowledge of local venues and event safety procedures.
