Job Description

Join our compassionate team at BrightStar Care as a Home Health Aide (HHA)! We are specifically looking for dedicated individuals, including stay-at-home moms, who are seeking meaningful part-time work that aligns with school hours. This role offers the flexibility you need to balance your personal and professional life while making a significant difference in the lives of our clients. You will provide essential personal care and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying living areas.
  • Assist with safe transfers and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Administer medication reminders as needed.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
  • Observe and report any changes in client's condition or behavior to the nursing supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
  • Accurately document care provided and client observations.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid HHA certification in California or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
  • Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care or a healthcare setting.
  • CPR certification.
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation.
  • Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals.
