Job Description

BayCare Health System is offering a unique opportunity for aspiring healthcare professionals to join our team as a CNA Trainee. We are looking for dedicated individuals ready to learn and commit to providing compassionate care. In this role, we will fully sponsor your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, covering all training and exam costs. You’ll receive hands-on experience in a supportive clinic environment while preparing for your certification, paving the way for a fulfilling career as a CNA within BayCare. This is an entry-level position perfect for those with no prior healthcare experience, offering a direct path into a vital role in our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all required CNA training courses and practical sessions.
- Learn and demonstrate proficiency in basic patient care tasks under direct supervision.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for patients.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to supervising nurses.
- Adhere strictly to all clinic policies, procedures, and patient confidentiality guidelines.
- Complete all necessary coursework and clinical hours required for CNA certification.
- Prepare diligently for the CNA certification examination.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong desire to learn and grow in a healthcare setting

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Physical ability to perform duties typical of a healthcare support role (e.g., standing for long periods, lifting, bending)
Preferred Qualifications
- No prior healthcare experience required; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Prior volunteer experience in a healthcare or service-oriented environment
