Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in Wichita, KS. This full-time position offers a competitive local wage and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the receiving, sorting, loading, and unloading of packages. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from trucks and trailers, by hand or using material handling equipment.
- Sort packages by destination, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Scan and document package information using handheld scanners.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery safely, if certified.
- Assist with inventory management and quality control checks as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for scanning and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in a warehouse setting.
