Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our Spokane team as a Part-Time Pharmacy Delivery Driver & Tech Aide. This dual role is essential to our mission of providing convenient and compassionate care to our community. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering prescription medications to patients’ homes. As a Tech Aide, you will provide crucial support to our pharmacy staff, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient service within the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver prescription medications to patients' homes or designated locations following established routes and schedules.
- Verify patient identity and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery, ensuring accuracy and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained delivery vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Assist pharmacy staff with non-dispensing duties, including stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Answer incoming phone calls, direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel, and provide basic customer service.
- Process prescription refills and new orders under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacy staff, and management regarding delivery status, patient inquiries, and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations pertaining to pharmacy operations and medication delivery.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proof of auto insurance.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and carry delivery packages (up to 25 lbs).
- Basic computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery role or customer service environment.
- Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of the local Spokane area and routes.
- Pharmacy technician trainee registration or certification (or willingness to obtain).
