Job Description
Join FedEx Freight as a Linehaul Driver and take advantage of an opportunity with significant earning potential. This position is for experienced Class A CDL drivers seeking consistent miles and predictable scheduling without the hassle of freight handling. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight between FedEx Freight service centers, primarily using tractor-trailer combinations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Transport freight between FedEx Freight service centers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment and accurately complete all required paperwork.
- Maintain logs and records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends as needed
- Strong commitment to safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Experience with LTL freight operations
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
