Job Description
Join Waterstones for a dynamic seasonal opportunity as a Textbook Packer. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that educational institutions and students receive their textbooks accurately and on time during periods of high demand. This physically active position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to contributing to a smooth operational flow. You will work within our Exeter distribution support team, contributing to the vital supply chain of educational materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack textbooks according to order specifications.
- Inspect textbooks for damage or discrepancies before packing.
- Prepare items for shipment, including labeling and sealing packages.
- Organize and maintain a tidy packing station and surrounding work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily packing targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 15kg.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse or packing procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, packing, or retail environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience working in a seasonal or high-volume setting.
