Job Description
Princeton University’s Career Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Career Services & Employer Relations Intern to join our dynamic team. This campus-based internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in higher education administration, career development, and employer engagement. The intern will support various initiatives aimed at enhancing student career readiness and strengthening relationships with employers across diverse industries. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping students achieve their professional goals and interested in the operational aspects of a leading university’s career services department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and execution of career fairs, workshops, and recruitment events, both in-person and virtual.
- Support the employer relations team by researching potential employers, updating contact information, and preparing outreach materials.
- Help manage and update the career services management system (e.g., Handshake), ensuring accurate data entry for job postings and employer profiles.
- Prepare marketing and communication materials for student outreach, including newsletters, social media content, and presentation slides.
- Provide administrative support to the Career Services team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
- Conduct research on career trends, industry insights, and best practices in university career services.
- Assist with data collection and analysis related to student engagement and employer satisfaction.
- Support special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall mission of the department.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (any major).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated interest in higher education, career development, or human resources.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with career services management systems (e.g., Handshake) or CRM software.
