Job Description
An exciting opportunity for an aspiring Business Intelligence Developer Intern to join our dynamic team in London. This internship offers hands-on experience in data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and BI tool development within a professional consulting environment. You will contribute to real-world projects, learn from industry experts, and develop critical skills in data analytics and business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data warehousing solutions.
- Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.
- Contribute to the creation of dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Participate in data quality and data governance initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to understand project requirements.
- Document technical specifications and data flows.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts (e.g., star/snowflake schemas).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) is a bonus.
- Understanding of data visualization best practices.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
