Job Description

Bright Horizons is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Music Leader to join our vibrant team in Manhattan. This is an incredible opportunity for individuals who are eager to nurture children’s musical development in a supportive and creative environment. No prior formal music teaching experience is required, as comprehensive training in our unique play-based music curriculum will be provided. You will guide children through engaging musical activities, fostering their rhythm, movement, and appreciation for music, all while contributing to their holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver daily play-based music and movement activities for various age groups within the early childhood setting.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive musical environment that encourages children's participation and self-expression.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into broader curriculum themes and activities.
  • Assess children's musical development and adapt activities to meet individual needs and interests.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized music area, ensuring all instruments and materials are accessible and well-maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's musical progress and achievements.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions provided by Bright Horizons.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.

  • Previous experience working with young children in a group setting.
  • Basic knowledge of musical instruments or vocal abilities.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
