Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Fulfillment Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals eager to start a career in healthcare logistics, with no prior experience required. You will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and shipping prescription medications, ensuring patient safety and adherence to strict quality standards. This role requires precision, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and retrieve prescription medications from inventory based on order specifications.
- Verify medication names, dosages, and quantities to ensure correct order fulfillment.
- Safely and efficiently pack medications for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as hand carts and pallet jacks (training provided) to move products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform routine inventory checks and assist with stocking shelves.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and ensure timely order processing.
- Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment (even if unrelated to pharmacy).
- Familiarity with basic inventory management principles.
