Job Description
Are you passionate about the environment and looking for a hands-on role? Re-Gen Waste is seeking dedicated individuals for our Cardboard & Packaging Removal – Eco-Friendly Service team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient collection, sorting, and preparation of cardboard and other packaging materials from various commercial and residential sites. This is a physically active position that requires attention to detail and a commitment to our eco-friendly practices, ensuring materials are correctly managed for recycling and minimal environmental impact. Full training will be provided, making it an excellent opportunity for those starting their career or looking for a meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently collect cardboard and various packaging materials from designated locations.
- Sort collected materials according to company recycling guidelines to ensure proper processing.
- Operate collection equipment and vehicles safely (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and collection vehicles.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service during collection rounds.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to team leaders promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and carrying.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Commitment to environmental best practices and safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or general labour.
- Full clean UK driving license.
- Knowledge of local recycling regulations.
