Job Description

You will work under the guidance of licensed music therapists, assisting in the delivery of therapeutic music interventions to diverse patient populations across various settings, including rehabilitation, behavioral health, and elder care facilities. This role is crucial in supporting patients’ emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being through the power of music.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Music Therapists in preparing and delivering individualized and group music therapy sessions.
  • Set up and manage musical instruments and equipment before, during, and after sessions.
  • Observe and document patient responses to music interventions, reporting findings to the Music Therapist.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapeutic environment.
  • Support patient engagement and participation during music activities.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required.
  • Adhere to all Banner Health policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
