Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Inquiry Evaluator with a strong focus on legal technology to join our dynamic legal operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and processing various legal inquiries received by Pinterest, leveraging cutting-edge legal tech tools and processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate responses while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and internal policies. This position requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, categorize, and prioritize incoming legal inquiries, including subpoenas, data requests, takedown notices, and general legal correspondence.
- Conduct initial evaluation of legal inquiries to determine validity, scope, and urgency, utilizing internal tools and external resources.
- Process requests efficiently using established workflows and legal tech platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate closely with internal legal counsel, trust & safety, and engineering teams to gather necessary information and facilitate responses.
- Maintain meticulous records of all inquiries and actions taken in our case management systems.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of new legal tech solutions.
- Stay informed about relevant legal trends, data privacy regulations, and platform policies.
- Assist in preparing reports and metrics related to legal inquiry volumes and performance.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, Information Technology) or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in legal operations, paralegal work, or a related field, preferably within a technology or social media company.
- Proven ability to review and analyze legal documents and data with high accuracy.
- Proficiency in using case management systems and other legal technology tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and analytical thinking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and online content moderation policies.
- Familiarity with various types of legal process, including civil, criminal, and intellectual property matters.
- Previous experience at a social media company or a company handling a high volume of user-generated content.
- Project management experience, especially related to legal tech implementation or process optimization.
