Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Junior Designer with a focus on User Interface (UI) to join our innovative team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and improvement of critical internal and external digital tools and applications that streamline logistics operations and enhance user experience for our customers and employees. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of UI/UX principles, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing interfaces. You will work collaboratively with senior designers, product managers, and development teams to translate business requirements into functional and engaging designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and iteration of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for web and mobile applications.
- Apply established design systems and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and incorporate feedback.
- Participate in user research activities, including usability testing and feedback analysis, to inform design decisions.
- Prepare design assets for development teams and ensure proper implementation of UI specifications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI design projects (academic or personal acceptable for junior role).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Prior internship or project experience in a corporate or agency setting.
- Experience designing for enterprise-level applications or logistics platforms.
