Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Bulk Stock Mover to join our team in Shreveport, LA. This ongoing, full-time position is crucial for maintaining efficient inventory flow and ensuring our sales floor is consistently stocked for our customers. You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, moving, and stocking large format merchandise safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming merchandise from delivery trucks, often large and heavy items.
  • Efficiently move bulk stock from receiving areas to designated storage locations or the sales floor using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc., after training and certification).
  • Organize and consolidate stock in the backroom and on shelves, ensuring proper rotation and space utilization.
  • Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records as required.
  • Ensure all merchandise is handled carefully to prevent damage.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating equipment and handling materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in the receiving and stocking zones.
  • Support sales floor associates by ensuring products are readily available for customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise regularly (up to 75 lbs or more with assistance).
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance.
  • Willingness to learn and operate store equipment safely.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, retail, or stock handling role.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar material handling equipment (certification a plus).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
