Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Sorter, where you will play a crucial role in our fast-paced fulfillment center. This position involves quickly and accurately sorting packages and items to ensure efficient flow through our distribution network. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment. Please note, this position does not involve customer phone interactions; focus is solely on warehouse operations and sorting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort packages and items according to designated routes and categories.
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely and effectively (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) after proper training.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and productive environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily productivity goals.
- Identify and report any damaged items or discrepancies.
- Perform repetitive tasks quickly and accurately for extended periods.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures, loud noises, and frequently moving equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic comprehension and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
